The Captain: Connor
Captain Connor purchased the boat in 2008 and immediately set about the task of assembling the best exploration and research team in the world. The result was a brave, honest, intelligent, hard-working, and dedicated crew that is the envy of all other scientific vessels around the globe. The captain is very well-respected and has earned the reputation of being tough, but fair. He has led The Blue Monkey on many dangerous and exciting expeditions and is considered to be a credit to his position as "Master and Commander of the Ship".

The Boatswain: Mr. Fluffy
The Boatswain, or "bosun's mate", aboard the Blue Monkey is Mr. Fluffy. He is in charge of navigation and is the next in line-of-command after first mate Izzy. His talents are indispensible while attempting to navigate the myriad of waterways that make up a rainforest. Mr. Fluffy also serves as the team's main photographer and is responsible for all land- and water-based surveillance operations.
The First Mate: Izzy
First mate Izzy is second-in-command after the ship's captain. The first mate's primary responsibilities are tending to the ship's cargo (including any live specimens that may have been gathered) and supervising the deck crew when the captain is off on a patrol. The first mate is also responsible for the safety and security of the ship, as well as the welfare of the crew on board. Izzy is fiercely loyal to Captain Connor and has been with him ever since he took over command of The Blue Monkey.
Chief Engineer: Curly
Chief Engineer Curly, or simply "Chief" to the crew, is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all engineering equipment throughout the ship. This includes, but is certainly not limited to: the engines, the generators, the satelite uplink, the computer network, the galley appliances, the heaters and coolers, and all the mechanized equipment specific to a particular expedition.

Team Leader: Brown Doggy
Brown Doggy has been a close companion to Captain Connor for many years. He was recently promoted to Team Leader after displaying exceptional creativity during the mission to discover the purple caiman. As a team leader, Brown Doggy is held responsible for the success of a patrol or a mission. Brown Doggy is also an accomplished code breaker and decrypter, and often consults with our friends at various universities and museums.

Team Leader: Guardian (of the Sheep)
Captain Connor recruited Guardian (full name: Guardian of the Sheep) to be one of The Blue Monkey's team leaders after seeing how brave and adventurous he was while chasing dragons near Cashel, Ireland. As a team leader, Guardian is held responsible for the success of a patrol or a mission. His jobs include: creating a list of required equipment, collecting the necessary supplies, and assembling the proper team members.

Jungle Patrol Team: Baby Doggy, Shep, and Patch
The Jungle Partol Team consists of several of the younger members of The Blue Monkey's crew. However, do not mistake their youth for a lack of experience or bravery. These three courageous pups are always ready for action and never hesitate to jump into the middle of an adventure.

The Blue Monkey is fortunate to have several crew members who are just as at home in the water as they are on the boat. The Water Patrol Team can operate successfully in fresh water and salt water - as well as in river, lake, sea, or oceanic environments.

Cook: Big Porter
The crew of The Blue Monkey work long, hard hours so they require warm and tasty meals to maintain their energy. Our cook, Big Porter, sees to it that each and every member of the crew receives three delicious and hearty meals a day. He is a great cook and loves to experiment with fresh, local ingredients.
Communications Officer Baby Tiger
Communications Officer: Baby Tiger
Maintaining communications with the outside world is vital during our, sometimes dangerous, expeditions. It is crucial that we are able to exchange messages with our partners, continue to update our financiers on our progress, and receive emergency weather bulletins from the authorities. Communications Officer Baby Tiger is responsible for maintaining that link and operating all the different equipment.
Security Officer Tusky
Security Officer: Tusky
Many of our expeditions take us directly into harm's way. Security Officer Tusky is responsible for the overall safety of the ship and crew. This includes: securing the ship every evening, posting the necessary sentries when in hostile territories, creating a safe perimeter around the ship when docked or moored, keeping watch over important or precious cargo, and escorting friends and guests during a rare visit from a non-crew member.
Lead Researcher: Baby Joey
Even though Baby Joey is most happy when on-board The Blue Monkey, many times it is necessary for him to travel to the far reaches of the earth on solo missions. He spends days on end in dusty libraries and ancient map rooms; searching lost folios, musty texts, and crumbling stone tablets for any vital clues. Clues that just might help lead the crew to a successful mission.

Team Cryptozoologist: Clover
Since many of the commissions undertaken by the crew of The Blue Monkey involve searching for animals whose existence has not yet been proven or are considered extinct, having a capable cryptozoologist on-board is of the utmost importance. Clover has studied at many of the world’s finest institutes of higher learning and holds degrees in botany, zoology, biology, and anatomy.

Ship's Doctor: Dr. Cutie
Danger is a constant companion to the crew of The Blue Monkey, and as a result, they are no strangers to the bumps and bruises (or worse) that regularly visit rugged adventurers. In many cases, crew members find themselves hundreds of miles from the nearest aid station. Therefore, they are very lucky to have an experienced, dedicated medical expert – like Dr. Cutie – among them.

Botanist Meers
Botanist: Meers
Responsibilities for The Blue Monkey's botanist are threefold: 1) identify and catalog any new species of flora discovered during an adventure, 2) assist Ship's Doctor Cutie by collecting various plants and herbs that offer medicinal benfits or contain homeopathic compounds, and 3) provide the cook, Big Porter, with a collection of local wild edibles while on our assignments abroad.
